Here's a way to become a champion...maybe a great one. Surround yourself with those who have the burning desire to be a champion. It's as easy as that! There are no special chants or prayers for you to be a champion, only that feeling deep down in your gut yelling at you to get off your lazy tail and doing something. Be productive and go after your dreams. That is the only way for to be something you hope to be and others wish to be. Be that person young people and peers look up to and want to be like. You can be that superhero-like being but not by sitting on your butt.
Becoming a champion is all I want to be! I wan to be a champion in school, martial arts, and life. Who wants to be that guy just taking it day-by-day not shooting for the stars? I say if you have a goal and want to live the life of it, then go ahead and give it a shot, but do so with the right attitude and steps. I train at the number one martial arts school in the country for the past eight years and all I have learned was how to push for my goals that I set and how to do it. Being around those who want to be what I want to is the best thing I could ever do! I mean if you want to be a champion you will not hang around 'bums' all day. Here is a quote my head coach said to me one day, "If you hang around nine drug dealers, you're bound to be the tenth". Ever since that day all I ever wanted to be around were successful people because 'if I hang around nine successful people, I'm bound to be the tenth".
So, BJJ Singapore is the sport that helped me reach the success I craved for awhile now and am still craving for. It got physically stronger as well as mentally. I am the best shape of my life and I live of the Brazilian Jiu Jitsu diet. Training in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu got my competitiveness up and now I'm not scared to try anything because I have the confidence that I will do well. But it's one thing to take the art of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and learn it. In order for you to be the best you have to train to be the best and train with those who also want to be the best. Most importantly, you must have the best coaching in order to become a champion. So, being at Lloyd Irvin's Mixed Martial Arts Academy, I can now become a champion because I have all the right tools to become one. |
